2022: festivals alert.
After a couple years’ hiatus it’s soooo nice to see some local favorite events and outdoor fests are making a comeback. If you enjoy bluegrass music, do not miss the awesome Wind Gap Bluegrass fest. I’ve seen the Stanley Brothers and other Bluegrass royalty perform here – the level of musician talent is world-class at this one!
For Rosé wine-lovers, or just general lovers of fun – check out Rosé on the River on July 11th. This is a relaxed and fun fundraising event at the confluence of the Lehigh and Delaware Rivers in Easton’s beautiful Scott Park.
The Rosé tasting event supports non-profit Greater Easton Development Partnership and its programs: Easton Farmers’ Market, Easton Ambassadors, Easton Main Street Initiative, the West Ward Community Gardens, the Easton Murals Project, and the Easton Public Market.
If you are looking for a rich cultural experience, please don’t forget about all the cool goings-on at Sigal Museum which is currently hosting a world-class art exhibit! “Another American’s Autobiography” and Allentown Art Museum.
Just a short ride east of the Lehigh Valley, the Balloon Fest in Readington NJ is the LARGEST balloon festival in No. America, and what a sight to behold! COMPLETELY WORTH getting up early, to catch the sunrise massive ascension of like 100 hot air balloons. You won’t be disappointed — this festival is pretty awesome. There is a great lineup of live music for this too, plus plenty of balloon experiences.
Will add a few more fests as they come up! feel free to email any others in the Greater Lehigh Valley areas.
Here are a few sites with plenty more goings-on in our area:
