When asked what inspired his 2013 poster design for the 17th annual Riverside Arts Festival, artist Maciek Albrecht proclaimed: “it’s an event that explodes with creativity, ideas, energy… from artists, crafters, vendors, organizers and participants. Come down everybody to see and feel it!”

This years arts festival will again be held along Easton’s picturesque riverside parks, along the Delaware and Lehigh rivers by Larry Holmes Drive. The festival will be September 21 and 22, 2013 and they are currently calling for sponsors and artists.

Local animator, 4-time Emmy award winner and avid Easton cheerleader Maciek Albrecht (aka ‘MaGik’) of MaGikWoRld.com
designed this year’s poster art. MaGik has also participated in Easton’s indie film festival Movies at the Mill, which will also be happening during the same arts-packed weekend.

The juried Riverside Arts Festival is now accepting applications from artists and craftspeople to participate – artists’ applications can be found on EastonRiversideFest.com, or call 610.438.4772 if you need one mailed to you.

Riverside Arts Festival is currently accepting sponsors and would like to thank our 2013 early-bird repeat sponsors Crayola, the City of Easton, and Brown-Daub autos for their continued annual support of the arts and this festival!  We are still awaiting a premier 2013 sponsor and also a Plein Air Art contest sponsor ($500)… at any level, you will receive excellent publicity and PR in return, see our website for details.

James Supra blues band will be back and you can expect an artful weekend packed with many gifted regional singer-songwriters.

The Riverside Festival is a multi-arts event, the centerpiece of which is a Juried Art Show and Sale showcasing local artists and artisans from the regional area.  Art and fine crafts will be exhibited for sale and for evaluation by this year’s panel of judges.  $1600 in cash prizes will be awarded in two categories: Fine Arts, which includes painting, drawing, pastel, printmaking, photography and sculpture; and Fine Crafts — featuring jewelry, mosaic, fabric and fiber, stained glass, metalwork, woodwork, clay work and plenty more unique art.  With a $10.- entry fee any artist can participate in the Plein Air Art contest to compete for another $500 in cash-prizes.

The Riverside Festival of the Arts has historically attracted thousands of individuals who come to view and purchase the art, listen to live music and live poetry, participate in watch & learn art demos, and more.  Growing every year, the 2012 festival hosted 60 artists and fine craftsmen and we‘re working on making 2013 the best one yet.   It’s a picture-perfect setting to enjoy art and admission is FREE.

This festival’s mission is “to promote the Easton and Two Rivers area as a cultural/arts center to benefit the community and to build bridges between the visual, literary and performing arts”  …save the date.
