An explosion of Art * Music * Literature looms in Easton. The 17th annual juried Riverside Festival of the Arts is Sept 21+22, and nearly 70 artists are already accepted. Local animator Maciek Albrecht illustrated this year’s festival graphic.

Along Easton’s scenic riverside parks where the Delaware meets the Lehigh river, enjoy:
- Free interactive childrens’ art projects (thanks Crayola!)
- Regional artists’ media includes painting, drawing, pastel, printmaking, photography, sculpture, jewelry, mosaic, fabric, glass, metal, wood, clay, and turkey bone art? check!
- Plein air art contest is $10- to enter. $500 in prizes (thanks, Gross McGinley Law Offices!). Check out the diverse ‘Plein Air Art Gallery’ of results, displayed on Sun. afternoon (3-ish)
- Live music: James Supra Blues, Maria Woodford, Easton School of Rock, Damian & Jeff, Harkland, Scott Marshall & Hillbilly Souls, Lou Franco, Chris Cummings Standard Trio, Bev Conklin Combo, Pia Romano, Secret Treaty, Midnight Shift, plus a djingo django swing gypsy jazz finale: Hox Bijouxx.
- Regional authors and poets: Author Matthew Crain will read an entertaining excerpt from his forthcoming commentary on James Joyce’s short stories (parents, this one is ‘PG’!).
Poets will read ~ some with accompanying music/dance: Margaret Campbell, Danielle Notaro, Nur Alima and Donnie Clouser III, Cleveland and Michael Wall, Grant Clauser, and Bernadette McBride, and the Easton Public Library Childrens’ Poetry Troupe - Nurture Nature Center’s ‘scrapyard birdhouse challenge’ – 3 birdhouses will land in the new Urban Recycle Garden on their roof.
- iMiJ photo-op will involve our cool 2013 graphic that will integrate our photogenic festival-goer
